One of my favourite meditations, and one that has helped me immensely in moving toward more inner peace, is the practice of loving-kindness (Metta Bhavana).
There are many benefits, both for ourselves and others, when we develop more self-compassion. When we develop compassion for ourselves, we are more able to feel it for others, promoting a healthy level of social connection.
